Default Air Arabia Assessment Day

Hello everyone, I have got an invitation email to attend an assessment day with Air Arabia, but I’m worried about my weight as my height is 183cm and weight is 88kg, will they accept me or not? And also wondering about that I’m very bad at English especially in writing I have some issues with spelling, I’m an Arabic speaker will that they count as an advantage?

Thanks for Answering.

Your written english is better than some native speakers on this forum.

This forum is mostly North American airline pilots, we don't even have height/weight standards.

You might also ask your question on pprune.org, they have many pilots from other parts of the world.

Whoa. Talk about a real pilot shortage at the majors if that was allowed.

Maybe they’d drop the “degree” requirement

Default Good News

The good news is that Air Arabia, much prefers Arabic speakers for most of its customer service roles, including Cabin Crew. Which means you have a great advantage to crack assessment day. As for the physical requirements, these are their minimums for height & weight criteria.
Male: HT - 165 cm. WT -68 to 82 kg.
Female: HT -160 cm WT - 58 to 70 kg.

Look, I always advice many candidates that come to me, to get yourself to that Open Day and in your case to that Assessment Day, which you have already been successfully invited and wear your confidence coat. Lean on your strengths and they will downplay your weaknesses. As for what happens out of your control - there is nothing you can do, BUT what you have control over, is to stop self-doubt and go claim your dream job! Reading this makes me sooooo thankful I live in the United States where this crap would never be allowed. And this is coming from someone who is healthy with a 23-24 BMI range.
