Pria and background checks

I did my interview last week and I got a job offered from a regional.. I dont think they ran a background check on me yet. I am really concerned about one speed ticket and two possible pilot deviations( both of them ended up warning).

Any thoughts?

Am I over concerned about it?

Were they on your application? Were they interview questions on these violations? If you kept them hidden, might be trouble.

Well they didnt ask me about my speed ticket..
But they did ask me about any faa violation/incident/accident

Since all I got was warning I said no. Now, I felt like I should have said yes and explained about those two possible deviations=/

Depends. Did you receive anything in the mail. Did they say it was for inter-office only.

Well you got something in the mail staying you were under investigation for a possible deviation.
Now it’s official.

Or you had to call a tower controller and get chewed out and you apologized and that was it.

No. One should always get a copy of their records to be sure, but a warning notice is not considered a violation (but it would be good to disclose) and they always have a paper trail. You'd be sent a letter of investigation and eventually, a warning notice, so if you haven't gotten any of those, there should be no record of it.

Depends on the the way the question was worded.

"Have you ever been violated" => you can answer no to that unless you were investigated, and formally violated.

"Have you ever been under investigation or violated" => in that case answer yes if violated OR you actually got the official written notification of an investigation, or possibly were notified by FSDO personnel about an investigation when they called you for info.

IMO getting a phone number and chewed out by tower/TRACON supervisor does not count as an investigation. And there would be no record. Pilot investigations are conducted by FAA/FSDO staff, not ATC personnel.

An airline might be able to get (via FOIA) records related to an investigation which did not result in violation, so probably best to be honest if actually investigated.

Mind if I say that you really need to put some effort into understanding the differences before you shoot yourself in the foot somewhere by saying that you have when you haven’t or answer no when you should have said yes.
People have been taken out of class and send home for this.
