ACMI-type schedule options

Hi, I really like the idea of the typical ACMI schedule; work 14-17 days, then have 11-14 days off. Are there any non-ACMI jobs that offer a similar schedule? Could a pilot at a traditional airline bid a schedule that gives them double-digit days off in a row every month?

I’m a couple months away from ATP mins, and am trying to decide what direction I want to take my career. Thanks for any advice!

Some 135 biz jet operators have those types of schedules.

XOJet used to do a 15/13 schedule. I did it for 5 years. It’s definitely not for everybody.

With seniority at many majors you can do schedules along those lines. Do 5-6 on, 30 hours off in base, 5-6 on. and then be off 10-14 days. People with ugly commutes do this sort of thing.

Also possible to get your 30 hour break on the road somewhere, maybe the skip the break in base.

But you'll need at least a little seniority, maybe more than a little depending on the airline.
