Default No call yet (UAL) - what am I missing?

Hi everyone, first post.

I'm a pilot with an unusual background, and despite having applied to both United and Delta at the beginning of the year, I haven't yet received a call. I wanted to list a few quick details about my situation and see if anyone has a good idea of where the hiccup might be.

I was born and raised in the U.S., graduated from Riddle in 2006, and then instructed a few years in Florida. Since I am a dual citizen, I decided to move to Canada in 2009. I converted all of my licenses, got my ATPL up here, and converted that back to a U.S. ATP.

I've been working at Air Canada since 2016 as a 320 FO and will be getting trained left seat on the 220 in February. 6600 TT, 2900 Airbus.

As time goes on, the advantage of moving to the U.S. and starting over at the bottom greatly diminishes, but for those of you who don't know, the U.S. airlines still pay a whole lot better than Canada, mainly because there are no competing majors up here to help conditions improve.

I thought I would be pretty competitive as a new hire, but since I haven't been called since my app submission in March, here are some potential hang ups I've identified:

-I have NO jet PIC. There are a lot of turboprops up here, and my best PIC time is 1100 hours on the Jetstream 32 (19 seats).

-I live out of country and haven't been a U.S. resident since 2009. (I am a dual citizen and was born and raised in the States.)

-I have a "suspended driver's license without knowledge" incident checked on the app from 2007. I go to great lengths explaining that it was NOT my fault (and it really wasn't; purely a clerical error), and there's no record of it anymore, but I didn't want to lie about it, so maybe it's filtering my app automatically.

Beyond those three things, I'm not sure what else could be the issue.

Looking forward to some feedback if you have an opinion

I had what I thought was a competitive resume/experience and wasn’t getting called either. I was able to get a Chief Pilot meet and greet, which made all the difference. See if you can network yourself into that somehow.

Also, make sure your application is reviewed by a professional service.

No offense, but I don’t think you fully appreciate how many people still have much higher qualifications than you and are also still not getting called.
With all the CPP and now Aviate clogging up the civilian feed, off the street better be pretty impressive or have some close friends....

I have six internals. 8000tt, 1000tpic, five types, int’l experience (lots), UND, and a masters. Currently flying a 320. Crickets.

I assume having no Jet PIC is the big killer for your app. That’s going to be a tough one to crack for the big 3.

That hasn’t been the case for many, many years. Lots of people hired at those carriers with zero TPIC.

I wouldn't say lots. It happens, but there's no predictable path at all. Some of us have come to suspect they pull names at random just to keep the entry-level enthusiastic. The clearest path for the average white male civilian pilot is RJ TPIC.

Yes, lots. I saw it all the time at my regional. Does TPIC help? Absolutely. It’s the only way I was able to move on. Is it necessary? Absolutely not, depending on demographics and extracurricular activities.

He has no jet PIC but 1100 hours Turbine PIC. I thought that counted just as much to most majors.

It hasn’t been about experience for a long time.

In the old yes. Today, no.

Jet experience is a significant statistical factor in training success, so they naturally prefer that. Back in the day there weren't many civilian 121 pilots with jet experience, it was mostly turbopops. So they hired 13 when they need to get 10 on line. Today they plan for all new-hires to succeed.
