Career change
I would appreciate some quality feed back to my question. I am Currently 55 years old. I have been a Senior Project Manager for a mechanical contractor in the mid-west. I have been responsible for multimillion dollar projects. I have approximately 1760 hrs with 710 multi engine hrs. I am currently working on getting my CFI, CFII and MEI ratings re-instated due to letting them lapse. I have always wanted to fly for my career and I am ready to make a career move and never look back. Question- am I to old for this move. Thanks in Advance.

You could likely get hired at a regional today, possibly be at a LCC/ULCC in 2-3 years. Upper tier is not unobtainable in the time you have left, but economically it would probably be a wash if you just took the LCC and you could retire in the left seat.

Regionals.
You’ll need 1000hrs SIC 121 for upgrade so about 1.5 years and you have 8 years at Capt pay remaining.
Check airman and sim instructor possible.
Maybe Asst Chief Pilot with your management background.
Just make sure you’re in good health and in somewhat decent shape.

I think your idea of getting your instructor licenses reinstated is a great idea, assuming you're actually going to instruct again. Mainly because it would look good to a potential employer that you currently are in a flying job. However, if you're not going to instruct, then just get current (could take more than a couple flights depending on how long you've been away from flying), rent a plane, and get some hours under your belt to beef up your resume. Just saying, the failure rate for CFI checks is kinda high, DPE factors in.
Not to dissuade anyone, but if just getting it to enhance an application, give it some thought. If ‘all in’(as Paula said), go for it.
Yes, you will need more than a refresher flight or two to be considered ‘current’. Get instrument current too.
