Air Inc Job Fair-ATL 18-20 May 07

I just got back from the ATL Air Inc job fair. I was pretty impressed with all the airlines attending. It appears we are on the front side of an increase in hiring from many airlines.

Stood in line for 2 hours to give my resume to Delta. All the other lines seemed to move fairly quickly though.

I was impressed with the seminar courses. Very valuable for a military guy without any airline background.

Any other attendees have any opinions of the Job Fair?

Gunhog, I think I was behind you in line at Delta. I received the invitation to interview email yesterday.

My opinion of the Job Fair? Sure doesn't hurt to hand your resume and talk for 5 minutes with the manager for pilot selection for a major airline.

Good luck.

Touchandgo,

What is your background and flight time? What interview dates were you offered? Good luck!

Iattended and ther ewere a LOT of military guys there. My only problem is I dontthink the seminars were geared to someone like me, the 500 civilain commercial multi pilot rying to get his first flying job. I wish more things were talked about on that level.

Im retired Navy with a few years at a regional.

6724 you have nothing to worry about. Get your hours and you'll be hired.

I think they do a pretty good job of covering all aspects of flying.

I got my first-ever regional interview at an Air-Inc deal...and I was below their mins too.

The opportunity to meet and greet recruiters can go a long way. As for the seminar info, listen up...it will probably benefit you in a few years.
