Hello, would getting an FAA advanced ground instructor certificate and Instrument ground instructor help with getting hired ? Is any credit given for these?

Yes if the job pertains to the certificate, no not really if it doesn’t (ie airline pilot).
If you are a little interested in getting them then just do it.

I used those certificate tests sort of as a pretest for the CFI and CFII written tests. When I went for the practical CFI and CFII tests, I couldn't show my FOI test results, because those have to be turned in to get the ground instructor certs. I also couldn't show a commercial SEL, because I had to turn that cert in when I got my ATP SEL (I know, I'm showing my age).

Interestingly, I scheduled my CFI test on Tuesday, and the CFII test on Wednesday. Tuesday was WOXOF all day, and the examiner would not be available for several weeks. I took the CFII test the next day, and ended up instructing qualified current private pilots on instruments for a couple of months before I got my CFI. If somebody is really confident of their instrument skills, I would recommend the CFII first. I really do think that the CFII practical test is easier than the CFI. It definitely has a lower failure rate, although that may be because most people do the CFI first.

It wouldn’t hurt, but not gonna be a make or break item. Better off doing volunteer work or something else along those lines.

Either get on with your training department or be a CP. Or do something outside of the regionals. Fly cargo and get a new type.

If you can put Manager of Training with those, sure. Manager of something, Check Airman, Sim Instructor, Chief of something, community college instructor, and yes community/volunteer stuff helps.

If you're doing your CFI ratings, might as well take the tests and get the GI ratings.

I've heard that some app systems might grant extra points for the extra ratings, but I'm doubtful that applies if you have a CFI rating... everybody knows the GI ratings are just a subset of CFI so why give extra credit for a paperwork drill?

I wouldn't expend any real effort on the GI certs after the fact.

Yes it helps. It's another kilobyte in your airlineapps. Another line or two. More list items in schooling and certificates. Wow!

"Look at this guy's full app. I don't know what a C-150, C-152, or a PA-28-160 are but this applicant has flown all three. Look at that list of 12 aircraft. What a rockstar! Look at all these ratings OMG what's CFI-G? What's weight shift control? Sounds super technical. IGI and AGI wtf is that? Ooh. He was a check instructor at a 141 flight school. Way cool. I hear we like to hire check airmen. I wonder why the other 11,000 hour regional applicants have such sparse resumes and only 5 lines in their aircraft? No C-152 time, just single engine. Not a deal breaker but this guy is way more qualified with 12 aircraft, check instructor, captain upgrade training, IGI, and all those cryptic technical ratings. Ooh, volunteered for NGPA too. Yes!"
