Airline instability is the reason I chose not to go into the airlines as a career back in 2011 when I first got my commercial ticket.

Yes, my post was exaggerated- airlines will never compete with a government job in terms of stability. The governments certainly forked over a lot of cash during this last downturn, which was the right thing to do since they are the ones who caused it. We can’t expect every downturn to be like that

Exactly. They break it they buy it. Lockdowns didn't do jack to lessen the death toll, and its appalling what we did to the livelihoods of the working age people to protect society against a virus where 80% of its victims are over 65 combine with underlying health issues.

Yea....yea....I know.....someone will post that they knew someone in the 20's who was healthy and died from COVID. That did absolutely happen, but lets be real here. We are talking about odds, not outliers.
