It very possible. I probably would have been at the airline sooner if I had gone to a regional 121 instead of building 400 hours a year, but I enjoyed the ride here.
When I was in my new hire class and saw the 26 year old kids that will be at the airline for 30+ years I at first was jealous, but then I realized that I saw and did some things at my corporate jobs that they will never get to do at an airline, and I am thankful that I got to experience those things.

Still I wouldn't take any unnecessary delays on the road to a top-tier seniority number right now... those kids can retire at 50 as multi-millionaires and THEN go have some adventures flying. Or boating, biking, skiing, hiking, etc, etc

100% agree. I wasn't advocating to delaying going to an airline cause of some experiences you may or may not get as a corporate pilot, I am just saying I am lucky to have gotten them.

Life is not only about how much money you have when you’re old.

The goal in this industry should be to enjoy yourself with time off and means along the way, and still have plenty of money when you retire.

Retirement isn't cheap (for most folks) if you want it to be a time of celebration and fulfillment. If you just want to live in double-wide in Little Rock, watch a lot of netflix and play golf on the municipal course then it can be done on the cheap.

I slacked a lot at the regional since there was no movement and the money wasn't worth sacrificing QOL. I work harder at the major, and will probably hit it even harder for the last few years after the kids are out.
