PRIA Training Incomplete

Older guy here, currently in a 121 training program, in Sim, have another 121 job lined up. I have lots of time and types so I’m not super interested in finishing current training. So does the company HAVE to mark incomplete? If so in this case is it really a big deal or not?? And yes I will try to leave early and be transparent on a positive note but we all know it’s a mixed bag with Chief Whoever

Thanks

No immediate concern taking your next job. It’s the next job after that where you’ll have to answer for it, as long as the reason is logical… Regional to ULCC. Major where you’d commute to major where you live in base. Etc. it shouldn’t hold you back provided you’ve had no issues at the next 121 gig.

Thank you for the reply, seems very logical and is helpful to me! I’d rather punch out now peacefully if I can as opposed to another week + Type ride then say see ya. And I’m going from one ULCC to another. Hopefully my last stop. Again Thanks, sincerely trying too do right thing

All records are supposed to go into PRD at this time. You should be able to view it. They have to go into the database within 30 days of being generated. Title 49 USC 44703 sets forth what is recorded into the PRD, it's the same data as PRIA.

Make sure you quote this thread on APC if it ever becomes a problem - lol

Aviation is a very small world and I wouldn’t do it but hey APC said it’s fine - go for it.

You will have to explain it if you ever go elsewhere. Incomplete training events are a red flag, as they scream a washout.

Yes. It shouldn't be a problem with ULCC #2 because they already screened you and you can just tell them why you left if they ask and it should make sense to them.

If you ever apply to a legacy, then it will be a flag for them. You should be able to explain it away, backed up by the timing assuming that you start at ULCC #2 quickly (as opposed to eight months later).

If it were me, much under age 60, I'd probably stick it out and get the type. That way you also have less of an air gap in the event #2 stops hiring, or something bad happens with the industry, which we all know can develop in a matter of days or even minutes. Depends on your personal situation though.

Excellent post! This is exactly what I’m doing, the way it’s working out is stay finish training, then go to ULCC #2 because there is just enough gap too do so. Spoke with #2 and they said either way ok with them but happy to hear I’d prefer not to get the Incomplete. So Thanks for the replies especially due to my inexperience with PRIA reporting! Thought I could punch out to the beach but nope back in the sim I go😎

Oh, and you can assume that you'll be terminated instantly if you give notice while in training status.
