Default Eagle Pilot Hiring Events

Just wondering if anybody would have any info about Eagle's pilot hiring events. There is one coming up and I was wondering what exactly takes place and what to expect. Do they actually conduct interviews or do they simply pre-screen potential applicants in order to determine who they wish to extend interview offers to? Any info at all appreciated.

I didn't do the hiring event, but at my interview there were 4 people who had. They said at the event they took most of your information, ie resume and sat you down for an HR and tech interview. If you pass you are invited to Dallas for the SIM. I was pushed through the interviews quickly in Dallas so I could join the people who had been to a hiring event to the SIMS. Everyone passed the SIM in my group though the youngest and fewest hours guy was advised to get some more SIM time before ground school.

So to answer they do do interviews, but you still need to go to Dallas to pass SIM. That was all they had to do in Dallas was the SIM.. Good luck.

Thanks PilotFrog. There's one going on this weekend in NY and I'm going to try and make it. Any advice for the tech interview portion? Congrats on the offer...are you going to be joining Eagle?

Default Tech interview

For the tech get a copy of Jepps. An approach plate, STAR, SID, chart, and airport diagram. Bout three questions from each part. Aslo be able to read a complete long METAR and TAF. I messed up the temperature and precip recording equipment. Also know how many hours a day/week/month/year 121 can fly. That was about it for the Tech. Oh and know Min Grid alts on the chart. I didn't have a legend to study so there were a couple symbols I didn't know on the airport diagram. Also know RVR stuff. good luck hope i got back to you in time.

Cool

When you say "grid altitudes" what exactly do you mean?
