Latest Interview Gouge at Skywest

American Aviation in SLC has an ATC810 sim and they do an excellent prep course. It's about 30 mins and usually costs around $50. But beware, they book up fast so make sure you call either right after you set up you interview date or if you're more flexible when they give you your date opinions, call and ask the availability of the sim and use that info to help set your date.
AA is located behind the Candlewood Suites and can easily be reached on foot from almost all the airport hotels.

Yes! Don't waste your money on the sim prep and bring a copy of your ATP Written results. Also, be able to really explain why you want to leave your current employer. I got drilled on that for a good amount of time. Didn't get the job.

what? youre current and qualified in the CRJ and they didnt give you the job? yet they hire some CFI with no jet time(no offense to anyone)? something is wrong with that picture

I would come ready for all of the above, there have been many very qualified applicants that got bounced on their interview cause they didn't come prepared. Expect to be treated like everyone else, be happy if you get to skip the sim.

I only know that they MAY not give you a sim ride if you're from a 121 carrier. I have no idea about the rest.
In my interview class of one year ago, we had about 8 interviewees. The only guy who failed the 50 question ATP test was from another 121 carrier. Asked to leave, not hired, obviously.
One other failed the sim, not hired.
All the rest, except one, were in my new hire class. Two of those have already moved on, one to Delta (B75/76), one to Aloha (B73).

I was prior-121 and got to take it all. Don't expect them to take it easy on you...in fact, be prepared for just the opposite. And know your 121 regs down cold.

The interview process may include three phases:
1. If the applicant has a current ATP written, no written exam will be necessary (please bring a copy of your results to the interview). If not, a written test which includes 50 questions taken from the ATP test standards guide will be administered.
2. Simulator observation. This takes place in an ATC 810 or a Frasca 142 simulator where the applicant will be expected to demonstrate appropriate skills. This phase is subjective and may or may not be administered. This will be determined the day of the interview.
3. The Interview/Trip/CRM Scenario. This phase will cover everything from HR questions, and items including, but not limited to, Jepp knowledge, FAR’s, wx, systems, CRM, etc. In this phase, the applicant demonstrates his/her ability to perform in a 121 airline environment.

From reading this thread, it looks like the SKW interview procedures have changed, and may be continually changing.
Make sure you're getting gouge from a RECENT interviewee.
Sounds like it changes from day to day...be prepared for ALL phases of the interview. Unless you work for ASA, in which case you will not do the sim. For everybody else it sounds like a crap shoot.
