What is the best way to update a perspective employer that you have a resume and application on file with? Would a cover letter style letter with the info in 2-3 paragraphs in the middle work? Thanks again for the help.

That depends on whether or not they have an online application. If they do, then just log in and update away.

If not, then send a fresh resume with cover letter. In the cover letter address that this resume is an update to your application on file.

short, sweet, to the point.
