$109 all day with lunch, $69 afternoon only and no lunch.
no thanks, but i am sure there are folks so desperate and starry eyed willing to pay that... |
I think it's disgusting having to pay for any career fair, especially in this economy...
|
Did anyone go?

Unfortunately yes. Total waste of time and money. The only companies there were Eagle, Compass, and Mesaba, and NONE of them has any intent to hire. I couldn't believe the lady at the Eagle table actually said that we shouldn't be 'chasing the upgrade', implying that the stability of 8 years as an F.O. should be comforting.
I still haven't figured out why the Phoenix P.D. had a table there. Maybe because when you figured out that this industry is tanking, some guys (and gals) may say 'to hell with it' and change careers and become a cop. There were a lot of tables for flight schools and jet transitions programs. Plenty of people who want to take your money. I talked to one poor kid there who has spent more than $50K and hadn't even taken his CFI check ride. .... So disheartening. A question came to mind: So exactly HOW is ALPA representing our best interests???? ***shaking head*** ***rolling eye******* ***wondering how much Phoenix P.D. pay******* |
