Default FLTops.com Job Fair Phoenix - Jan 31st 2009

Just a reminder that our friends at FLTops.com are hosting another top notch Job Fair in Phoenix on Saturday, January 31, 2009 - 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The Pilot Career Conference and Job Fair will held at the Phoenix Airport Marriott.

FLTops.com's presentations are first class, yet affordable, and if you're in the job market you owe it to yourself to attend. A partial list of airlines recruiting at this event are: All Nippon Airways, IASCO, American Eagle, Compass Airlines, Mesaba Airlines, the Phoenix Police Department, and more. Please check the FLTops.com web site to register and for current information.

Why would anybody need to attend these things to get on with scumbag places like Compass or Ameagle?

Weren't they hiring people with 500 hours just last year?

Just another way to rip off the people who are already down.

I think it's disgusting having to pay for any career fair, especially in this economy...

Unfortunately yes. Total waste of time and money. The only companies there were Eagle, Compass, and Mesaba, and NONE of them has any intent to hire. I couldn't believe the lady at the Eagle table actually said that we shouldn't be 'chasing the upgrade', implying that the stability of 8 years as an F.O. should be comforting.

I still haven't figured out why the Phoenix P.D. had a table there. Maybe because when you figured out that this industry is tanking, some guys (and gals) may say 'to hell with it' and change careers and become a cop.

There were a lot of tables for flight schools and jet transitions programs. Plenty of people who want to take your money. I talked to one poor kid there who has spent more than $50K and hadn't even taken his CFI check ride.

.... So disheartening.

A question came to mind: So exactly HOW is ALPA representing our best interests???? ***shaking head*** ***rolling eye******* ***wondering how much Phoenix P.D. pay*******
