Recency of experience

Im another furloughed pilot looking for work. Most of the apps. want my flying totals for the last 6 and 12 monthes. The longer i'm out of work the less I can put in that box. Im finding that some of these operators will not consider you if you haven't flown lately. I belong to a local flying club that has a cessna 172 that I fly and that i'm actually teaching my son to fly in it. I am logging this time in a separate book. My question is should I show this light aircraft time in my main log book to show at an interview and use for reciency of experience or would that be frowned apon. Thanks for any help.

Yes, it counts unless they specifically exclude instructor time. Most civilians get their first airline job with a logbook full of CFI time.

Obviously international heavy glass turbojet time would be preferable but GA still counts for the mins.
