Continental Airlines internships

I am about to enter my Junior year in college and would like to do an internship at Continental Airlines in the spring of 2010. Where would I find what internships are available? Who would be a good contact that would be able to tell me more about internships at Continental? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I did a flight Ops internship with them last summer. It was by far a wonderful experience; and would highly recommend it to any one. They have 3 terms per year, Spring, Summer, Fall... Summer is usually the hardest to get I was one of ten that got the position but 100 people applied for it. Fall and Spring I know are not quite as competitive. As far as a contact with in CAL I can give you his contact information if you would like, send me a PM. Good luck with it!

summer applications has finished, i believe fall is still open but the deadline falls around this time of year, pass by careers services at your university and they should have all the paperwork already for you to apply or the application link. Cont & DAL are the hardest internship to apply for since most of the spots are taken right away. My friend was flown to houston interview and got it last year and he had a great experience, He talked about working with Charts/ Jepps Plates and the FMC, he got his high altitude endorsement with them, flew the 737 sim a ton, and an hour on the 757 and 777.

How can people get these internships if they go to a non aviation college? From what I understand schools set you up with interviews.

On the website it says you must be enrolled at Purdue, Kent State, University of Oklahoma, or Embry-Riddle. Do they ever make exceptions to this rule?

sorry but I haven't heard of any exceptions to those schools, of course that may be different since not alot of college kids are lining up for internships when no one is hiring, give it a whirl.

Alright, I'll just let them know how much better my Oklahoma school is than that red school :D

Just as a heads up as well they want commercial instrument rated applicants, preferably Multi commercial.

I can't even find it on the website. Is it listed anywhere? If Der Meister if you could PM the contact details that'd be great. Apparently because I just signed up I can't yet PM you.

I too did the internship last summerr. It was by far the greatest experience of my life. Completely worth the unpaid 3 months in one of the hottest, most uncomfortable and biggest cities in America. However, it's only open to the specific 4 schools as far as I know. If you need any more info, leave a message here and I'll be happy to answer.
