nawbie needs help^^
 

hello everyone!
I am polish teenager and i'm interest in aviation for all my life.
I tryed to go to the military, pilot shool but becouse of small problem with my back they didnt accept my ofert;( btw i prefer biger planes:P
Couple of days ago i talked with wizzair pilots and the said me that i should to ask about "how to become a airlines pilot" at some pilot's forum.
So can U give me some advices please? Can You tell me what to study and where the hell take money from for all this licences etc. maybe airlines give me money for licences if i gonna work for them?

Have you contacted LOT? We're mainly Americans and training is done differently here than it is in Europe. I know Lufthansa picks people to be their pilots and then does all their training. I don't know if LOT works the same way.

There are many pilots that have spent a lot of money and then found there are no jobs or only jobs that pay so little it will take 5 or 10 years to pay their training costs.

I would say start small. Is there a glider club near you? There may be some airline pilots there you could talk with.

Yes, here is one glider club and i'm going to do there ?gilder licencion?. I will ask them and i'll ask LOT thx for gooood idea!

There's also www.pprune.org which is a European forum - mostly UK from what I have seen - but still a good start for information about aviation in Europe
