Logbook Question

I know that interviewers want to see a tight logbook. However, I have a few errors here and there. My question is, how tight? I have approx 7,000 hours and my SEL + MEL + glider is within 10 hours of Total. Is this close enough or do I need to make an entry to fix it? Or leave it? Also, how do you guys fix an error? I have been making a whole line entry of +/- the amount and explaining in the remarks section. What do you guys do or think on these issues?

Thanks in advance

That's how I do it, make an entry to correct the total amount. But you do need to figure out where the error came from and explain it in the remarks, don't just add in an extra ten hours to make it match your other columns...

I agree 100% with the remarks. So it should add up to the tenth? I kind of thought so too but, I didn't want to overdo it either.

+1 on the remarks thing.

I usually go back in my logbook once a year and create a line called "Logbook Review". In the comments section, I then explain any addition (or substraction) of hours and then sign it.

Eagle just looked at my logbook and didn't say anything about it...but then again, it was just glanced at, so IDK.

But yeah, try to find those math errors and fix them and get those numbers to add up.

If your logbook is that tight - it's probably more accurate than the hobbs meters in the aircraft you've flown.
