Does anyone know if corporate, fractional, or charter background checks consist of a TSA/ FBI background check like the Airlines or is it a background check like your neighborhood Walmart or Mcdonald's would do for employment? I here their background checks are less stressful then the airlines.

That depends. If their crews do not need to access the 121 secure area of ANY airport they serve, then no TSA background check would be done.
All they can do would be standard employer checks in accordance with state law, which means that arrests and things like expunged convictions would probably not be visible.
But I think a lot of 135 and fractional do need to access secure areas, so your options might be limited.

Hate to pick on you, but it sounds like you have something to hide..?
Corporate flight department background checks vary -- you might be unpleasantly surprised if you hide something. My former corporate job fired a guy when the insurance company inquired about a violation he did not disclose to the company when he was hired... that might be even harder to explain at the next interview.

Most corporations are very thorough about background/credit checks nowadays. The liability and legal issues of getting it wrong are too bad. While PRIA rules don't apply, you will get a criminal check, FAA records check, credit check and whatever other background investigation that is normal. We terminated a guy for background problems recently that were discovered after employment.
ANY flying job, except maybe crop dusting or bush flying, is accompanied with background checks today, including drug testing. You can't get around it and most medium level corporate, non-flying jobs have it, too.
