How Long Should I Wait For Interview Results?

Hello everyone. I interviewed with a regional airline 3 weeks ago tomorrow. I haven't received a reply via email or phone yet. I keep in mind that Thanksgiving was during this time, but I would like advice on whether I should continue to wait, or if I should try to contact someone. I have the contact info of the recruiter who interviewed me as well as a phone number to possibly get transferred to the Chief Pilot. Who should I call? Should I email instead?

I am currently employed and have a decent job so I'm not starving out here. Should I be proactive and call, or wait it out? What would you do?

I would say at this point you could probably get away with a nice "Thanks again for interview/any updates" type email.

Out of curiosity, which did you interview with? If one was eagle, that is obvious for the delay. ASA/XJT I interviewed with and it took a good while (2 months or so) until I heard anything official. They sent a few "We're still working on it" emails but otherwise that was it.

Took USairways 6 weeks to send me the no thanks. I fell through the cracks at my current job after 2mo I called and asked what was up, and the HR lady was all disorganized and asked me how soon I could be there! had I called earlier I would have been 1-2 mo senior to where I am at now and holding a line.

This poll has no valid answers, it all depends on how long you have been waiting.

After you wait a reasonable time (3-4 weeks) with no word you should follow up with your recruiting POC (the person who arranged your interview).

How long you wait could depend on the airline...if everyone else is waiting six weeks before they get an offer, then don't bother them until after you wait that long.

Thank you to those who replied. I was not looking for a "valid answer", just individual opinions. I clearly stated how long I have been waiting, which as you said, is a reasonable time. I decided to do as you suggested and I wrote a nice "Thank You" email to my recruiter. Let the waiting continue...
