Are advance Jet training courses helpful?

I am seriously considering taking an Advance Jet Training class with a classmate of min, who has been seriously persuading me to enroll. I have my personal issues about it but, I wanted to hear from those who have taken this course and what there intake is on it. Will it give me an advantage in airline training and will it aid in landing the dream job? Any info will be helpful.

I am sure you can gain some help from it, but with the prices I have seen for those courses, they are WAAAY to expensive.

Another question could be if the interviewer see that you have that jet course, will he expect you to have some knowledge about the systems in the interview? If that was the case you might be better off without it...

And if you don't think you can get through training without the course, then my guess would be that you are not ready to take the next step. (No offense)

I also noticed that you are the same guy that asked about Gojet... So on second thought... Go ahead and take that course.. Spend as much money as you can... After all... You will be working for a top notch company:rolleyes:

I agree with Avihaters, the course is way too expensive for what you get. If you actually get a type rating out of it (i doubt it) then they expect you to know the aircraft (like you flew it... not the sim or ftd). Airlines will teach you how they want their airplane flown... Regional airlines are NOT dream jobs. Apply to all of them; build your experience and move to the majors.

I don't know how many hours you have but one thing to think about - the NPRM out requiring FOs to have ATPs also requires a week long ground school to get a multi engine ATP. Three days of ground school and two of sim. If you're not going to have your ATP by next summer you might might want to save the money for that class.

Yes they are. It would have been the difference between my washing out and hanging on. In the end, I was so close. Yet, close does not make the mark, does it. DO IT! :)
