How to get there from here?

I currently fly a BE90 Part 91. Right now, I am averaging about 400 hours MTPIC per year. My stats are:

2400 TT
1700 Turbine
1200 MTPIC
260 Jet 121 SIC

If I want to fly for a large aircraft 121 carrier (Major/National/LCC/Cargo), what is the best way to get there from here?

A. Stay where I'm at (400 hours per year...all PIC)
B. DHC-8 Part 91 (300 hours per year...150 PIC/150 SIC)
C. Regional Part 121 (?800? hours per year...all SIC)
D. Something else

Thank you everyone for your input. I am open to all suggestions.

how much of your turbine time is PIC? after you have a 1000 Turbine PIC I recommend you start applying at the majors, but it may be a good idea to get some jet 121 time at a regional, after you have your 1000PIC that is.

1200 of the turbine time is PIC, so I am able to check that box. I have applied to the majors, but I wonder what chances I have when competing with 6000 hour RJ captains. All my jet time is 121, but it is not a lot of time. I think my low total time is hurting me, especially when the mins at Spirit and Virgin are 4000. I'm sure competitive mins at other places are just as high.

If you goal is majors, a regional is probably the safest path. You can pad total, turbine, glass, 121, and jet time (assuming RJs), and if it turns out you'll need more TPIC you can upgrade eventually.

Unless you are well connected or stand out for other reasons you'll probably be below mil and regional captains in the resume stack with 91 King Air or Dash time .

That is kind of my line of thinking.
