Degree: 3 year vs 4 year?
Hey all, I started school part time recently while I fly, and I'm wondering if there is a big difference at the major level between a 3 and 4 year degree?
Thanks, CC |
I know a 2 year and a 4 year degree. Never heard of a 3 year degree. If it takes you 3 years to finish a 2 year program I wouldn't highlight it.

Majors want a 4-year degree (never heard of a 3 year). A 2 year might punch the ticket a certain majors (notably SWA) but only if you are well connected.
Lack of a 4-year will be a hit, you'll need something in the plus column to make up for that. |
Thanks guys!
I guess a 3 year degree program is a Canadian thing....I was wondering if the 4 year thing was a big one or not. I'm sure that won't be hard to do, just some extra courses. Thanks for the replies! Rick7777, I feel like I can always count on you to have great replies to my questions. Thanks! |
Three year degrees are also quite common in Europe. If you are Canadian, you should maybe ask on Avcanada and you'll get some better answers.
