Any advise?
Hello everyone,
I am a 27 year okd PPL from Argentina. I have 200 SEL hs and I am planning on attendig Aviator College to do their professional pilot program. This will give me around 200hs. After that, if I pass all the check and get all the CFI ratings, they offer me a job were I can fly around 80hs a month. After a year I will be near ATP minimums, so my plan would be to stay in the US and prepare for the ATP check ride. My concern is that this is a 2 year plan wich means I will be 30 when I finish. After this, I plan on applying to any airline that takes Expats as I have no attachements back home (except for family) and I would love to do a international career. Any advise? Thank you! |
With 1500 hours and an FAA ATP you can get a regional airline job in the US. You will not be too old at age 30.
As long as you have right-to-work (greencard) no US airline will discriminate against your ex-pat status. In order to get a job with overseas airlines which hire foreigners (mostly in Asia and the Middle-east) you will need previous airline experience. |
What about interview test preps? Does anyone recomend them or are they a wast of time and money?
