Well, it's obvious Ms. Sandberg has never met me yet! :D I'm no COO at any Silicon Valley company, but I've been "leaning in" most of my life, and pretty much am living the life that I had planned for.

Almost 100% of my legal career is spent helping low income women. Whether you are a man or woman, when you get beat down by The Man, your spouse, lack of education, poverty and other such social ills, you can only lean in so much before you break. It's easy for her to say the things she does in her book. She will have more credibility in my eyes once I know she has walked a mile in the shoes of my girls.

We have a similar saying in the Air Force called "leaning foward." To the same extent as leaning in, you can only lean foward so much before you fall flat on your face. This is true no matter if you are a male or a female.
