It sounds as if you have exactly the right attitude. At the end of the day the failure was on you, but not only do you understand why it happened, it sounds like there are some good reasons, and you took away from that event some important lessons.
You can actually use this as an opportunity. This is one part of an interview that you can control because you know this is something your going to talk about. It sounds like the event itself was no big deal. A single failure in a career is a non event, but you can use it to allow the interviewers to see aspects of your personality they might not otherwise have seen. Most of us have had losses in our families, so this is a chance to connect on a personal level. |
