Airline apps

I was filling out my airline app online and when i got to the total flight time page. I noticed that it didn't match my logbook. I actually had 60 more hours in my logbook than I did on Airline App. I have 1400 hrs of pic in my logbook, but airline apps only gave me 1340. I tried getting it to match but if I did then I had like 60 more hours of total time. Any thoughts?

If you entered the times correctly then it probably is just result of the airline apps did not ask you for a category of flying that you have in your logbook. I seem to remember a similar thing happening to me and I don't recall there ever being anything said of it. Remember that depending on when you interview the times will be different as well do to recent accumulation.

If it is in fact an error in the addition present in your logbook then you might want to investigate further, but depending on the size of your logbook (s), that might be a tall order. I know friends that when they have eventually gone to electronic logbooks, they have discovered errors much bigger. I think most people realize it is not a perfect system.

I had to ad a few hours of cessna , something like 40 to match my total in my log book.

now if they want really count my hours of 172 vs 150, up to them.
