Compass or Skywest
Lucky to have offers from both. Originally I'm from PHX and wouldn't mind moving back towards that area soon, currently near Houston. Late 20's and single. Flying 135 charter and want to get into 121. Skywest offered the EMB120. Leaning towards Compass but hear great things about Skywest.
Thoughts? Thanks all. |
Compass, good airline, lots of movement.

Look at the number of Skywest pilots compared to the number of compass pilots. The expected movement at compass if delta continues to hire in the next 3 years. The 50 seaters on property at Skywest compared to none at compass. Also consider living in base just in case things don't go as planned. Pay and benefits are as good as it gets at most regionals at both places.

Compass, no question.

Whoever has the fastest upgrade.

From what I hear both are great, probably the best regionals to work for. But Compass takes the cake. Fast upgrades, fast way into delta. From a freind of mine in compass. 3-4 as FO, 3-4 as CA then onto delta.(pending on the interview of course) That was as of recently, and things are moving even faster from what I hear. Honestly, Compass might be the only 121 regional id consider working for. MSP is nearby, Detroit isnt to far away so the commute for me isnt bad at all. Pretty good captain pay if you got stuck their for some reason and not move into delta.

Ohh, and its a standardized fleet. EMB175's mostly, some 170's. (might be the other way around) No messing around in a EMB120 as an FO then jumping to EMB145 or CRJ as an FO.
