Best CFI Renewal Course

It's that time of the 2nd year again when the CFI certificate is up for renewal. I have used the Jeppesen program a few times as well as the AOPA program. This year I have received mail from AceCFI, Jeppesen, AOPA, American flyers, Gleim, and a few FIRC courses to attend in person. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages as far as cost, time, and ease of use. Just looking for a little advice. Thanks in advance.

I am trying ACE this year, just because I've used the others. I'll give a pirep in a week or so.

I been using American flyers for a few years now, paid the one time fee and its good for life. Can't beat it!

I use American Flyers. Pay once renew every year for free. When I get my PC every 2 years I get our POI to give me the new temp... works well

American Flyers for me.

Pay one and done! Good for life. Beyond that you will find that they are all more alike the different. Basically pay your money and make your choice.

I've all three methods. POI, American Flyers, and AOPA. AOPA was the best for interaction, and of course the POI was the cheapest and most expeditious route for the matter of convenience.

Yep. American flyers as well for me. Pay once, easy process. There really is no reason to go with anyone else. It's all the same info. I've done it four times now. No hassles!

I've been using American Flyers for a little over a decade now. That's 5 renewals so far for a $200 (at the time) one-time fee. Not bad!

Sounds like I might give the American Flyers a try this time. I agree that the AOPA had better presentation of the material than I have seen with some of the other programs. With how little I use my CFI, maybe it's time to just go the cheap route and take an actual refresher course when I want to use it later.

Hey guys, I let my cfi expire years ago I called American Flyers, they told it would take six weekends about $3000.00 to reinstate it. Does sound right?
