Legacy Question
My dad is currently a Delta LCP Captain and is set to retire in a few years. Since my plan is to fly in the majors after the regionals, I'm wondering if I have a better chance of getting hired, say with Delta, because of my Dad. Don't get me wrong, I'm not relying on his help to get me through or anything along those lines. This just came across my mind so I was curious what thoughts y'all might have on this.
Thanks!

Ha I was waiting for that response. I have talked with him about it and he said he only knows that I get a for sure interview with him being a pilot for the airline, but that's all he knows. I was just curious if major interviewers might consider you more if you have a dad whose currently flying for them.

Yes, assuming you pass all the "objective" medical/psych/motor skills tests most interviewers will tend to lean in your favor (unless your dad personally pizzed someone off). Make sure you learn as much as you can about the "objective" tests.
Do your damnedest to meet minimum eligibility before your dad retires. All you really need is a 1000 hours turbine SIC...start picking up trips on your days off.
DAL is your best shot...your dad can't help you much at other airlines.
