They aren't checking to see if you have a speeding ticket. They are checking to see if there is a habit of it.

Don't lie about the tickets. I listed all of them and wrote the conviction next to it as NOT CONVICTED. Which technically means it never happened. And I've gotten a handful of those. (Damn speed traps).

So did you go to the judge and get the tickets reduced/expunged or am I confusing the definition of a conviction?

Almost everybody gets a ticket at some point. They are looking for a pattern of disregard for the rules, ie multiple tickets especially in a relatively short period of time.

Go to Virginia DMV on line and pull your record, next the actual charge if it says civil infraction or misdemeanor. If its misdemeanor not sure if Virginia reports criminal traffic to the FBI data base but either way you need to disclose the ticket and final disposition.

The radar guns are probably not accurate under 5mph. Tickets have been thrown out on that basis.

I was in the car with a family member in Emporia as she got a ticket for doing 55 in a 50, she never fought it though.

That's what they bank on...literally. Too bad the feds don't crack down on this sort of assembly-line law enforcement, which is essentially highway robbery, not law enforcement at all.

An employer that is interested in hiring you to fly their fifty million dollar turbojet aircraft with hundreds of millions of dollars in liability and lives and reputation on the line is absolutely interested in your ability to operate a vehicle responsibly.

"Reckless" is not acting responsibly.

You've got no flight time and no experience, and therefore no leg to stand on when seeking employment. Approaching it from the position of a flippant attitude won't help your case.

Take it very seriously. Your potential employers will, and you've plenty of competition that will understand the implications of irresponsible behavior. You're posting in other threads regarding your frustration at not finding work at your experience level. Don't compound that by simple mistakes and reckless behavior.
