You could always request a copy of your training file to check your company record, and then get a PRIA report from the FAA (usually done through your company as well).

Its not exactly free but It will give you the "truth"
Regarding records, I understand PRIA is the FAA record.
What's FOIA?
What records an airline typically asks for?

Basic PRIA is a one or two page printout of your certificates, ratings, limitations, any violations (not admin action) and accidents/incidents.

FOIA is all of your airman records, including every checkride submission, pass or failure, any letter that has gone into your airman file, anything to do with your certificate, violations, etc.

As far as what the airline asks for, it's all over the board. I've asked airman records about this specifically, and they said some airlines do the "basic", some do the "full FOIA", it just depends on the airline. Probably safe to assume they do the FOIA though.

Airlines always do both , you can count on it. I used to be in charge of this program at another airline. I commonly see the term PRIA as one that is very misunderstood .

PRIA is what the airline has on you , employment dates, check ride and training documentation , formal letters of discipline ..ASAP or warning letters from that program are NOT disclosed in PRIA.
PRIA is Pilot Record Improvement Act which is a record keeping requirement for employers so pilots with crappy records can't continuously bounce from airline to airline without said record being known.

FOIA is everything the FAA knows about you clear back to your student pilot certificate. All ratings or the results of any 8710 you ever filled out. Also included violations, incidents , accidents. ..again warning letters are the only thing not released.
FOIA is Freedom of Information Act . the government has to disclose requested information that is not classified. it's used all the time by the press etc and by airlines to verify your FAA certificates are real and valid.

Slight correction, PRIA also requests your basic airman information from the FAA, as I stated above. It is a verification of your certificates, ratings, limitations, violations not expunged, etc. PRIA is not just airline to airline, it's also airline to FAA, it's just not the in-depth records that FOIA is.

Anyone know how to get the PRIA records to your mailbox? The FAA site explains only how a DA "Designated Agent" for a carrier can get them.It appears irrelevant. Surely there has to be an easier way..

Disregard.. I went to the FOIA request page on the FAA site. You fill out the form and describe what type of records you wish- Accident/ Incident/ Medical/Training/etc. There is a phone # there for more info if you need it. Hope this helps.
