what are chances of getting hired to a Regional at age 55?

You still got 10 years of flying left.

You are the perfect candidate. Just when you start to get expensive, you must retire. However, at 55, a regional lifestyle will mess you up bad, especially if you have to commute. Up before dawn, six legs a day, don't eat and repeat.

Regionals would take you no problem. I know a couple guys that age who were hired at LCC

They know you are not going anywhere, I think you'll be fine.

Guy in my new hire class was 62.

Guy hired last week was 62. You are good to go.

Majors hired folks that were 60.0+ after they had mandatory retired from other gigs, so I imagine 55 is a drop in the bucket at a regional.
