Smile What's the best NE regional for me?

Or perhaps location doesn't matter as I'm going to have to at least commute from north of BOS to NYC area? Can folks weigh in on which regional they would recommend for a 2500 TT, 700 turbine person? I'm mid 40's and not interested in turboprops, perhaps to get on with a bigger company when I have more PIC jet. Thanks.

Many regionals have bases in the NYC area, Expressjet, Envoy, Endeavor, Republic to name a few. Pick which one will work best for you and your situation. There's no easy answer, they all have their pros and cons, but do your research before making a decision.

"Embrace the suck" is what comes to mind when working for the regionals.

AWAC, ExpressJet, if you're looking 135 maybe Planesense or TMC Jets.

LOL not interested in turboprops but want to move on when you have jet pic... The fastest road to move on and up to the largest airline in the world and has a 2.5yr upgrade soon to drop to 1.75yrs is at a turboprop airline that is based in the northeast. Good luck at the bottom of the Xjet or rah list...

Go out to the dog park, find 2 dog turds. Randomly assign regionals to the turds. Comparing these turds is like comparing regionals. Keep in mind, you must keep this turd until you are hired by a major. So I'd choose the turd that gives me the best chance of moving on, so I can get rid of said turd.

Keep in mind if you choose a turd like AWAC, that turd might expire and you will be forced to go find a fresh new turd, thus lengthening you overall time spent holding your turd of a regional.

Point is, they all suck. It's a gamble no matter what. Choose what looks the best chances.
