what should I do ?

This is my current situation. I actually flying for a south american carrier. My total time is 4400 hrs. 2300 hrs on the A320, 500 hrs on the A330, and 1000 hrs turboprop. I'm almost done with my bachelor (expected graduation august 2015). US citizen, i have been living in the States for thirteen years. I should upgrade to he A320 captain between june and september. I've been reading the forums and it seems like major airlines are not hiring outside pilots. Should I come back to the states and apply tona regional airline and try to get a quick upgrade or wait until I get the 1000 pic at my current company?
Any advice is appreciate

Thanks!!

If I were you I'd probably get 1000 TPIC. It seems to me that an airbus pilot with TPIC would be competitive for US majors. I'm not sure why airlines would discriminate against pilots with foreign flight time, as long as their work history is verifiable.

Thanks for the advise rickair7777. I was a little bit concern because there are alot of pilots where I work in mybsame situation and no one is getting an interview.
Thanks

Jetty,

Like Rickair said, get your A320 TPIC if you can, but it's not the flight time or where you're flying. Not having a 4-year is the killer for you at the moment, but that ends shortly!
