Airline Apps Question

Still haven't submitted my Delta app yet as I'm working on building references. Can I submit my app with the minimum references then go back and add more as I work to get the info I need or once you submit does the addendum part close? (I know I can update the non-addendum stuff after I submit it).

You can continue to change and/or update the addendums, too.

Thanks for the quick response!

None of the airlines will look at an app until all of their chosen criteria are met. That includes--but is not limited to--items with expiration dates and a valid date of availability (that is, not a date that has passed).

Don't forget to make sure your passport and medical info (expiration dates) haven't expired. That places your app into an inactive status.

That's what would be logical and one would think.

However, there have been people that applied to airlineapps legacy A, and airlineapps legacy B. Over 40 years old, interviewed/hired at legacy A, hasn't touched/updated app since. Enough time has passed so that their app now shows an expired medical.

Guess what they got in their email concerning legacy B?

Found this little gem on the flight time totals page of Airline Apps:

Flight Time Totals:

Please review your flight time totals an insure they match your logbook.

If we as pilots are supposed to have a flawless application and deal with fix-it emails, Hogan assessments, and having to disclose the name, address, and dates we worked at that pizza joint while in high school 26 years ago, airline apps should hold themselves to the same standards.

Jus' sayin'.

Ensure and Insure are not interchangeable. ;)

Question for anyone in-the-know.

AirlineApps just automatically submitted an incomplete App to a Legacy carrier because I didn't understand—at that second—that selecting a new airline from a drop down menu would suddenly pull the proverbial trigger and apply.

Should I be concerned that a subsequent submission will be shuffled to the bottom or discarded for the next six months? or something worse?

I'm feeling a bit dejected at this second. Trying to buck up and chill out.

I really don't understand why airline apps won't allow one to deselect airlines from "job targeting,"

or at least allow one to "turn off" publishing.

If it was for Delta, given Delta's current processes and timeline for scoring applications, it is most likely that they haven't seen it yet and it won't hurt you.

Either way, just update/complete the app when you can.
