As well as all that super special volunteer/community service work they were doing.
Honestly...probably a large number...me included.

I will be attending but this is my first job fair so, for those who have been these fairs before, how many airlines can I realistically expect to talk to in one day. I am targeting mostly the majors and I expect those lines to be pretty long so I figured I'd start with my top choices and go from there, but I was just wondering if anyone had a ballpark of what I can expect. Thanks

I think you should expect to be able to speak with all of them at this particular event. There may be quite a line at United, and maybe others, but you should get to all of them.

That said, I see that the United Fast Passes just ran out. Not sure how this affects those without one. Any one know? Will you just have to queue up? Or are you basically SOL like it was at OBAP?

How'd you figure out the fast passes dried up? When I signed up (in Nov) I put down my fast-pass preferences and haven't heard a peep since then. Any info very much appreciated!

If you sign up now it has an asterisk note that UA is now all gone.

Thanks! I haven't received any communications since the emails immediately after I signed up up and was wondering what the deal with the passes was, one way or the other.

Fast Passes:

We are pleased to be offering fast passes for a few of our major airline carriers in attendance. Within your registration you were asked a series of questions which included selecting carriers whom you wished to see via fast pass. To clarify, receiving a fast pass for the carrier(s) you selected is NOT guaranteed. We will be running our fast pass award process in January. If you are awarded a fast pass, it will be communicated to you via email prior to the event. Your fast pass will be included in your registration packet which you will pick up at check in on the morning of the Industry Expo. For those of you attending the entire NGPA Winter Warm Up weekend, your awarded fast pass will be in your weekend registration packet you will receive at check in on Fridays event kickoff gathering.

If you are not awarded a fast pass, don't fret, as standby lines will be available for all carriers. Changes to awarded fast pass times and or airlines will NOT be permitted. Due to the fact that this is a 1 day event along with the record number of attendees expected, the complexities of changing fast passes cannot be accommodated. We will again stress that standby lines will be available for all carriers to accommodate those whom are not awarded a fast pass, or miss their assigned time.

Thank you for the post. That clarifies things. I'm just very hopeful that those without a United FastPass aren't going to be standing in line for 5 hours.

Looks like Industry Expo registration closed, sold out, no more slots and no off the street entry. I thought for sure it would sell out within days like the other expos (job fairs), but registration was open for about a month for 400 spots? Next year should be just as big, if not bigger.

Fast pass awards will be sent out this week.

There will be at least 1050 people at the Sunday job fair. NGPA has asked us to host a career seminar from 11 AM - 1 PM. It is free to attend and we hope to see you at the event.

If it is your first time attending a job fair and you have a question please send us a PM. Good luck.
