R-ATP mins

I am a graduate of an approved program and qualify for the 1250TT R-ATP mins and will be applying to a regional next week. I know you can use up to 25 hrs of sim time to make up for the 50 hr ME required and can also use up to 25 hrs of sim towards the total time for the unrestricted ATP, but can one use this rule towards the R-ATP also. I currently sit just shy of 1200TT so I'm wondering if I can show up to training with 1225TT and use the sim time to make up the rest? Not that an extra 25 hrs is a huge deal just wondering where i stand as far as starting training. If i need to wait a few weeks and the get extra 25 no big deal but would like to know ahead of time so I know what to plan for. Instruction in the NW in the winter is hard to predict.

has anyone been in a similar situation?

You can credit SIM time for a RATP just the same as an unrestricted ATP. You can credit 100 hours of time towards the aeronautical experience requirement. Both myself and my partner did during our initial.

how much sim time can one count on during training?

The two airlines I've worked for both ran 48 hours in the sim. You can count the time you're pilot monitoring for your partner. You'll be safe going in at 1225.

Ive seen that some airlines do this and some dont. And they are all different amounts they will count. Nice to know about though

for anyone interested SKW told me they will allow up to 25 hrs credited towards the total time, along with the 25 of sim time for the multi time.

What about endeavor? And psa does not allow you to start early, anyone know why?

I would like to know the answer to this too since I plan on applying at endeavor in the next couple of weeks.

Just because the regs allow the use of sim towards the ATP mins, does not mean all airlines will allow it. You need to check with each airline you're considering.

The info should be on their web site somewhere, and I suspect that most will allow some sim credit, but you need to make sure.

Yeah, I tried looking on the endeavor site as well as doing a few internet searches and couldn't find anything. Looking at some of the gouges I see some people interviewed and were hired with less than 1500 but I don't know how many hours they actually had when they started training. I'm probably going to just call the recruitment phone number sometime before I submit my app.
