Hey guys I am currently working for a survey company with a contract that terminates in late June. There is a chance we may be done by mid May. In the contract it states that voluntary termination requires a 2 week notice and payment of a contract breach. At this point in time I am about a week way from 1500 hours and have been receiving phone calls for interviews. Would it look bad for me to breach the contract or should I stick it out to the end? I don't want to be "that guy" but at the same time I don't feel like racking up the hours I don't need anymore and this job is utterly boring. Received some advice from a recruiter at one of the airlines and he told me to just put a notice in when I hit my time and start a class date in April. Any advice?

You would be better served by asking an experienced attorney. Your "breach of contract" could be costly. What you are really asking is, Is it worth paying whatever breach of contract sum of $$ to get a seniority number quicker at a regional?

It would be around 1500, which I would end up spending on hotels car etc anyway .
