Good luck getting an exit visa when you screw your employer like that.

That's why the smart ones also carry a MasterCard or American Express.

Pay is similar at all 3 but United and Delta have much better profit sharing.
I'd say QOL is a bit better at DL and UA for non-pay items but I'm sure that is arguable.

DL has probably the most lucrative extra $$ program with greenslips, UA has senior manning, not sure at AA.

But honestly you just need to get a call and an offer first. Figure out where you want to focus your energy or where your top base would be, but getting an offer will be the biggest hurdle.
Thanks for that Firsttimeflyer, and the couple others who had something meaningful to contribute.

Honestly, ask yourself - do you just want back in the U.S.A., or will you come back only for a legacy job. If it's the first case, then you might consider applying to the second tier of carriers like Spirit, Frontier, Allegiant. Reason being once you're in the States it'll be 10x easier to do the networking, the job fairs, the volunteer gigs, that are now essential to getting an interview slot.

Oh GMAFB. When the "Top Tier" places like AA had guys on furlough for a decade and Airways A-320 maxed out at $125/hr what the F did you expect guys to do?

It's amazing how short the memory is for some of you guys.

Just for some perspective, I flew with a reserve CA here at PSA some months back who came back to the states from EK. He also used to work at JetBlue before EK. And that guy couldn't get a call from a legacy right away. He is still trying to get on somewhere as far as I know. So it isn't as easy as you may think. If you really want to come back to the states, I would apply everywhere you can, and see what comes your way.

I'm sure the Dubai food bank is looking for volunteers.

Seriously, though, you might also look at charter places just to get back home initially. Omni just hired an EK guy. His 777 experience made his initial 777 training at OY pretty seamless.

Looking for quality of life first, pay second. Also enjoy international flying, and would want to get back to that soon.
You should also consider Atlas. We have a few former Emirates pilots here too. If you don't dig it, you can move on to the majors as many others have chosen to do. Lots of good info in the hiring section at APC.
