How old are you now?
What's your resume look like?
What's your flying experience?

How much of a pay cut can you take?
For how long?
Would a regional CA job be acceptable long term?

The short answer is yes.

The long answer is, "it depends..."

There is no clear route to where you want to go from 135.

I'm leaving a $150-180k helicopter contracting job to goto Envoy. I've got enough saved up to take the pay hit while I build up PT121 time. Before people tell me I'm crazy leaving that sort of coin, consider that it's contact work in not very hospitable locations for 6-8 months at a time. You never know where the next contract is going to be etc.

The way I see it is that it's a double edged sword. If you don't make the jump now at what is relatively the start of the Airline boom (in my own opinion/research) then you'll be left behind.

What have you got to lose? If you're experiencing in your current job then just consider it as insurance if the airlines don't work out for you in 2-3 years.
