Agreed on all points above.
Heard from a source at American, that because of what this has all turned into, they won't be recruiting at an job fairs for 2017. It's all going in-house next year. Hope United follows suit. I know they had the mil-only event a couple months back but perhaps they will open one up to non-mil guys next time around.

Just to play devil's advocate, I think paying 100 bucks a day to see every airline in the US in one place is worth the $$$.
Yeah, the UAL job fair will be free. So will the AA job fair, and the DAL, and the AS, and the LUV etc etc etc. Now people will be forced to give up multiple weekends to go see all these different companies and pay for hotels etc.
Not a good thing for the job-seeker. Makes things easier for the majors to see "who really wants it"...

It's a UAL thread, soooo.....
......at one of the conventions previous, BK stated that unless you're a "superstar and REALLY stand out", it doenst help your app "score". However, they do keep track of recruiter contacts. Could he have been any more vague/ambiguous in that statement?
As far as DAL goes, an attendance will get your app "scored". Doesn't mean one will get an invite. It JUST means they will give your app a look and put it into their "Tier 1/2/3" system....
