How do I find the definition of the failures?

How do I find the definition of the failures? i.e. Area X Task F?

I have been reviewing my records and some of the past failures are listed as tasks and areas, the others are specific.

How can I find the definitions of the tasks and areas?

Thanks

They are in the PTS for the rating in question.

If it was not recent, you may need to track down the version of the PTS which was in effect at the time to make sure your referencing the correct tasks.

PTS like Rick said. Is this for an application?

As an example I failed my CFI and an EOC during school. I can't for the life of me remember the EOC. I just put down that I failed and passed on the next try.

The CFI was some technical lingo that boiled down to "teaching". AKA "I needed to fail you for our pass rate". So on my app I just put teaching and passed on next attempt. All they asked was did you pass on the next attempt.
