Really....This topic. I don't always agree with l8fr8, but this time around it's hard not to. I just don't see the need for this thread at all; or at least not at this time.
They (ATI) are doing their thing. Hard to throw them under the bus unless you've seen a TA indicating something less that what they (and the industry) deserve. Sure, I'd like for them to join 1224 again, single carrier or not, and in the past I haven't been an advocate of an ISL. It's been hashed out pretty well by now that its not going to happen at this time. A bad TA presented to the group may very well change some minds, but for now...let's see what they come up with. It did everyone good to see how K4 did, wouldn't hurt to see if Atlas or ATI gets anywhere.

So if ATI can switch to 1224 they'll be on equal footing with ABX and we can all strive for an industry leading contract probably better then Kallita's.
By the way my personal opinion but I think it was very smart of Connie to settle the contract and move forward! It differentiates him from his competitors ABX and Atlas who are a long way from
a contract. He can go to DHL or Amazon and say, "Hey my pilots are relatively happy with their contract and ready to work with no impending strikes." Plus the added bonus of his engine shop.

I'm not as optimistic with regards towards the timing of a TA, but it will come. And anything less than industry standard will not be tolerated by this group. People will vote with their feet, especially the ones Mgt have recently invested heavily in with training and Types. The others who have more invested in ATI, will start to reexamine their bargaining units allegiances.

You still haven't answered the question. How exactly has the MEC "sold us out". And please supply facts, not supposition. Statements like, "Look, look!! He just bought a new truck. What an evil man he must be.", doesn't count.

I too am a line pilot along side you and would absolutely despise someone telling me who should represent me and why. All based on rumors or statements from a very small minority of their pilots. Let them make their own decisions. Yes it does make our negotiations and stance on the issues such as wipsawing tougher but, as long as there are other ACMI carriers working for peanuts we all are going to have to fight hard to get what we want and deserve.
I'm tired of the childish behaviors between our groups, do I talk, look, or acknowledge them. Let's be the professionals we are and treat each other with respect. That's where we should be starting.
