FDX: To LIDO or Not to LIDO?
Well, today's the 28th. Supposedly the 'drop dead' date for Jeppesen. Nothing so far on the Flight Ops website. They better hurry up or I've got a lot of revisions to do before I go back to work next week!
Anybody heard anything?

Indeed, today is the day that was mentioned in the most recent FCIF as the proposed "target date" for full conversion to LIDO. However, until it's sitting on the ramp painted... no, wait, that's a different adage. I don't recall, did that FCIF say Sep 28 of this year?

FCIF is out. "We are glad to announce today that LIDO will become our primary source of approach and enroute charts on October 14th 2006. This date marks an important milestone on our path to an EFB. If you have a trip that spans October 14th bring your Jeppesen kit. If you have a trip that originates anytime on October 14th you may leave them home. MD-11 and A300 databases are LIDO effective today. All training and evaluation will be LIDO beginning on October 14th."

And if I was on a trip that operated through the 14th, I'd empty the binders on the 14th and take the empty binders home to sell on ebay.
