Default Atlas & Southern SOC.

June 20, 2017

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to update you on the status of the integration with Southern Air, including a development regarding our pursuit of a Single Operating Certificate (SOC).

I am pleased to report that all remains on track with the integration. The first three revision cycles of operation manuals are complete, and the third was implemented at the end of May. The team is working well, and we are on track for the fourth revision in July. Due to the extra time afforded us, we added an extra revision cycle to align SOC with 2018.

While we had originally planned to transition to a SOC later this summer, we are now electing to move that date to January 1, 2018. There are useful tax and other benefits by having the transition occur at the beginning of a new year, and we intend to take advantage of those benefits.

It is important to note that this date change does not significantly impact the overall integration plan. In fact, the majority of operational work required to transition to a SOC will be completed this summer. The operations teams are doing great work supporting the customers while completing the tasks of the integration. The Integration Team will use the additional time to address elements during pre-SOC that were originally planned for post-SOC. This will make the transition to a single carrier even easier.

We expect more details in the coming weeks about how the integration will affect employees.

Thank you for your continued efforts to ensure a seamless transition while focusing on safety, security, compliance, exceptional service, and operational reliability for our customers.

Sincerely,

What this means to the new CBA negotiations?, Good Or Bad?

It means their multi million dollar lawyers told them to delay the SOC until the judge rules on their lawsuit against the pilots. Legal tactic.....that's all.

So, is the new contract still going to be an amalgamation of the existing SAI and Atlas contracts?

What is everyone's take on all the promotions and title changes at Atlas?

Part of the SOC?

Positioning for better buy-out pay? (I.e. Adding "senior")

People in Purchase just leaving too?
