ATI Negotiations
Looks like we are heading for mediation. Lowest paid on the ramp and still can't squeeze a dollar out of ATSG.
Funny how they can pay the guy the on the spot next to me an extra 100K but keep me at sub commuter pay!
One union One Ramp and up there @$$ is starting to appeal to A LOT of us.

For the first time in ATI history there are enough people on the list that are young enough to say " F it" and stick it where the sun don't shine because other jobs are out there.
Like someone said before, those management jobs are scarce pilot jobs are not. It would give me a total woody to see most of management hit the job boards and pay to relocate. Lord knows they've done it to us MANY times.
If our two pilot groups would work together we could strengthen are position a hundred fold. B707 guy however made an excellent statement addressing how he had been burned on the last time two airlines had forced sex.

I actually like anchorage..! Plus I could hang out with MoFo
Out of all honesty though, I really get tired of upper management. We do our job as best we can and make it happen. Im not kicking ABX, their contract is better and they have fought for it. However, I don't see how they can sit across the table from our guys with a strait face and not give us what we're asking for. Overall we wouldn't quite be up with ABX on the take home pay but we'd be a lot better.

Operating a second whipsaw carrier stops making sense if the second carrier is being paid the same as the 'big' airline. The company has no reason to give you a good contract- they'd rather just merge you or make you go away if they actually have to take care of you. Think of all the absurd inefficiencies that come from running two airlines to do one job. You guys have got a long fight ahead of you, I wish you the best and definitely hope you start exploring 1224.
