Amazon.....all is not well!
According to pilot sources, ABE loaders/sorters failed to show for work last week due to low pay. Delays ran up to 5 hours because only 5 sorters showed for work. A new vendor is taking over the contract in August. No surprises based on the Amazon business model.

Too bad WJ... Looks like your wet dream of Amazon world dominance isn't panning out like you thought it would.
Just wait till ABX and 5Y really get ****ed right before peak. We'll see how the lapdogs at ATI come to your rescue.

In any event, all of the flights ex-ABE for the past two weeks have been within an hour-ish of schedule, which is pretty consistent with what it's always been. The only exception is that last Thursday, a single Atlas flight was about 4.5 hours late departing. Maybe that was due to loaders, maybe it wasn't. I would expect that as the network volume increases, there will be changes in the outstation procedures anyway, which will likely lead to short-term teething issues.

I was really missing being torqued by Omni and/or his Many Faces Of Eve. Thank goodness he scratched that itch!!

In virtually every business services contract, you contract for the service and you add clauses specifying the required performance and the penalties for failing to meet the performance. You don't -- and you normally don't have the right to -- get involved in the vendor's employment issues, if any. If Joe and Steve and Bob all decide to take the day off and/or quit, it isn't up to Amazon to deal with it directly. More broadly, if all of a sudden these folks that were hired by LVIA don't want to work there anymore because they don't like the pay, then LVIA will have to figure something out. Amazon's remedy is to insist that the LVIA comply with its contractual requirements.

Crew scheduling&ops were trying to figure out how to bypass ABE last week. I heard they had 2-5 hours delay every night. One night the flight out of Dallas missed the ABE load.
Pinnacle (I think is the name) has been hired to replace them but can't start for a month. I got this from talking to ops & crew scheduling. Its to the point I think they may modify the ABE DFW SCK CVG lines.
You'll have the Legacy guys at ATI, the ones with Stockholm syndrome, trying to carry the ball forward. They are a minority now. The rest of us will be staying at home or the hotel!

If they have trouble at ABE, BWI wants the business. Right now, Amazon is splitting the NorthEast Coast flights between ABE and BWI. ABE is closer to Avenel, but in a pinch, things could be adjusted to just put everything into BWI.
Pinnacle Logistics is the provider being used at BWI. If Pinnacle is going to replace the LVIA employees at ABE (or just hire them upon termination of the ramp contract with LVIA), I believe it is for a different reason than those workers being unwilling to work. There may be expertise that Pinnacle has in one area that they may need at ABE.

The ABE employees were wanting more and starting slowing down. So Pinnacle was hired, they can't start till August sometime. The current employees some how found out Pinnacle was coming in and they weren't going to be offered the jobs. Well doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where that train was headed.
I know all week flight were pushing 3hrs delays. I'm not sure where your getting ETD and ATD from though. If I refiled and took off at that new time ATC would show an on time dep. I'm not poking your monkey just saying is all.
Some thing's I can't post based on operations but I know Amazon had some one there on site and he wasn't in a friendly mood. It looked like someone kicked his dog. I'm sure something changed.
Also the base of the problem is pay. They need clean criminal and drug test for a low wage job. In some parts of our country that's tough to do with the payscale being offered
