The per diem may or not be taxed, but the training pay will be, so I see two options here:
Per diem taxed monthly training income: $2,496
Per diem NON-taxed monthly training income: $2,928
This assumes 25% of your paycheck goes to taxes.

During training I think it's straightforward, you'd get $1,728 in per diem alone, plus the $1,600, which equals a total of $3,328 for one month. Now the real question is do they tax the per diem? Per diem isn't taxed if you're on a trip that overnights outside of base. Miami is listed as a 'base' but that seems unrelated to new hire training in my opinion.

You'll probably be burned out and hating it after a year or three, exacerbated by the fact that the actual flying of the airplane is a small fraction of your time at work here, especially as a 747 F/O. Most of your time is commercializing/deadheading all over the planet, sitting around budget hotels, and then when you do get to "operate", you sit there in a jumpseat, fill out a logbook or do the nav log math test while the senior crew do the takeoff and landing (or you watch a check airman conduct OE because of the revolving door of pilots this place has become).
What are you talking about???
The company owns you for 17 days. They can operate you, deadhead you, place you on reserve...whatever!! Again they own you for 17 days. You knew this when you got hired here.
When you "deadhead all over the planet" it is in Business Class or better not stuck in a middle seat in coach.
When the crew meets for the first time, the Captain usually asks EVERYONE on the crew if they need a landing. It is NOT for "senior crew" only. I don't know where you get that information!
If you do not like it at Atlas then leave! No one is making you stay!
